Reflejos

‘Al instante de unirse la voz, la flauta, la percusión y la guitarra, todo el ruido que se encontraba a mi alrededor fueron dejados atrás por mis oídos sin darme cuenta, hasta que la chica que se encontraba sentada al lado mio me dice “parece que te gustó el grupo”. Fue en ese instante en que asimilé lo cautivado que me tenía este “Reflejo de melodías”…’

For those of you who don’t speak Spanish,  this is just an excerpt of what would appear to be a novel of Reflections.  This was written by an audience member who saw us play at a Latin American Festival.  His words are deeply affirming and left us feeling adored.  This is a great reminder of what music can do,  it’s inherent inspiring nature give people much to think about,  write about and feel.

Being sensitive to creative forces,  and giving one’s voluntary time to creativity,  one feels saddened by the capitalist nature of “industry”.  It manifests a mediocre value on your ‘product’,  but these are just shared, collective, sublime moments in time…..is this something that can be sold?  Apparently so.

However,  the appreciation of an audience member can make you forget about these dilemma’s and manifest the importance of creation.

We hope to create more of those moments this coming week.
