It is with much celebration and joy that we announce the release of our album, Del Mismo Color! Featuring the best of our original music and influences from around the world, the album takes the listener through an emotional journey that delves into the core of human essence.

Reflejos are now in the process of putting final touches on their first album, which is to be titled ‘Del Mismo Color‘!!
At this stage, the band are planning to launch their album in March of 2010. Watch this space for more specific details on venues and times.

2009! What a year it’s been for us! So many gigs! So many stories! So muh gained in what seems to have passed by in the blink of an eye!
I think that there is only one word that can describe Reflejos in 2009: Evolution.
Our band and our music has evolved this year, through the personal growth of the musicians in the band, as well as the contributions that have been made by our many guest musicians that have added so much to our sound. With that in mind, we’d like to thank Belinda Woods for playing with us and entrancing audiences with her magical flute while I was away. We hope that Belinda will stick around and continue with us on this exciting musical and creative adventure. Special mentions should also go to Josh and Corey who made guest appearances on our album. We needn’t forget about the ever supportive sound engineer, Harry, of Spring Studios who helped and guided us through the recording process. His care and professionalism made what can be a stressful time for a young band that much easier! Thank you!
We’d also like to extend our gratitude to what became our second home in the first half of this year. Open Studio, 204 High Street, Northcote. We thoroughly enjoyed our many performances in the warm surrounds of what I think is the one of the coolest bars in Melbourne.
As for the band, Our band grew, taking on a new drummer, Gustavo. This has added new energy and dynamics to the band. Bonnie has been scribbling away on new songs and we hope to be performing these in the new year. I have returned from Europe, freshly inspired and ready and eager to play with the band.
During the year, we took one of our biggest steps and recorded a new album, to be titled ‘Del Mismo Color’. Recording, as any musician knows, is a difficult, intense and sometimes very stressful time. I feel that the band, however, rose the occasion and has produced something provocative and poetic and very special. I am really very excited about getting this album out there!
I feel that I should close by doing one last thankyou: You, our community of friends who live in Melbourne and in Montreal. Without your support, our band wouldn’t be where it is!
We are all looking forward to 2010 hope to see you all at a Reflejos gig really soon.
