For those of you who don’t speak Spanish,  this is just an excerpt of what would appear to be a novel of Reflections.  This was written by an audience member who saw us play at a Latin American Festival.  His words are deeply affirming and left us feeling adored.  This is a great reminder of what music can do,  it’s inherent inspiring nature give people much to think about,  write about and feel.

Being sensitive to creative forces,  and giving one’s voluntary time to creativity,  one feels saddened by the capitalist nature of “industry”.  It manifests a mediocre value on your ‘product’,  but these are just shared, collective, sublime moments in time…..is this something that can be sold?  Apparently so.

However,  the appreciation of an audience member can make you forget about these dilemma’s and manifest the importance of creation.

We hope to create more of those moments this coming week.

Reflejos will be playing at the Human Rights Art and Film Festival on 8th of May.  We join a large number of other well known musical acts in the Rhythm and Rights evening.  An evening of music, art, comedy, food and other performances from around the world with the intention of encouraging “…greater cultural awareness, appreciation and collaboration.”.

We will be playing at CERES market in Northcote and the fun kicks off from around 1pm.

Great news for those who can’t make our gig at The Spot on the 5th of March

After a hugely successful 2 gigs at Open Studio in February, by popular demand, we are playing there again this Saturday, the 6th of March.

Be there at Open Studio, 6th of March.  Fun starts at around 9pm.

What a time for celebration!  Our album, Del Mismo Color, is finally ready and it’s jam packed with Reflejosy goodness.

Our first album launch will be at The Spot in Brunswick on Friday 5th of March.  San Lazaro will be supporting us and the fun kicks off at around 9.
